Holy crap that's so cool. I was thinking to myself, "Hey the lighting in this photo reminds me of the frog photos I took at the Baltimore Aquarium." Now i know why!
So now you know at least one person who's seen this knows first-hand how incredibly hard it must've been to get a shot like this.
Hahaha, sweet. Guess that means we're not too far from eachother (or else you traveled from afar to go to the Baltimore Aquarium ).
Yeah, it took me several tries to get the exposure right on this one. There wasn't much I could about getting the subject to move, but fortunately he was in a pretty awesome location and position.
I live in PA about 1.5hrs north of Baltimore, not too far.
My biggest problem getting the shot was it was very very crowded and people kept letting their little kids bump me and push in front of me - one guy behind me even reached over my shoulder and put his camcorder directly in front of my lens!
Still got a few decent shots...check my scraps, I got a few bird pics in there.
I had the same problem! I went on a Monday which was a holiday, and it was horrible. So the next day I decided to go back, and the place was just about empty - it gave me a chance to really focus on taking some good pictures.
It is, quite possibly, the best photograph I have ever taken.
